Henry’s piece “Mythical Creatures” was selected from almost 800 pieces to be part of PS Art 2021. This means it will be part of an exhibit at The Metropolitan Museum of Art (and online due to Covid). Thanks to his advocate and art teacher Madeleine Arthurs for always encouraging him and submitting his work. Thanks to his dad who has been his art mentor since he could hold a pencil. I am a very proud (hopefully not bragging too much), mom.
Here’s to Easter and all the happiness, plastic, and sugar it brings to our cluttered apartment. Not shown in pictures: Jane swallowing her first jelly bean.
Exploring some more.
No, I really can’t.
This is called “Humans Always Die” by Quin, Age 5.
She’s a park standing Jane now.
Nine-month birthday. All dressed up and nowhere to go...ever. Like, where do the nine-month old kids hang out during the pandemic?
Sweet Jane.
I’m feeling nostalgic today and lately overall. Maybe I’m wishing for better times, you know, like the 80’s, those were good times, huh? This particular photo is significant because it’s the day Danice came home. She was only 19 when she disappeared. That was 19 years ago today. I guess I never thought we would get to the point that she would be gone as long as she was in the world. I’m not trying to elicit sympathy or pity, but thinking of Danice today.
Who puts the Happy in Happy Holidays? The Cousin Crew, that’s who.
Snow date with just Quin. So hard to find time for one kid alone, but oh so important and meaningful when you can. Laughing and running in the snow...the best.
The only Spider-Man I will ever really care about. Happy 5th Birthday to this funny, animated artist who dances like no other. I love my Quin so much.
Thankful for these three! Challenging world, but I always have these lights. They are crazy, moody, and loud, but also, my favorite people.
DM me if you need my address to send me wine! Sad for the kids and teachers. Hoping for brighter days and positive remote learners starting tomorrow.
Kindergarten friends on this most beautiful day.
